With 164 million people worldwide battling substance use disorders, career professionals have an opportunity to support adults in recovery with hope and strategy for jobs and careers. This session explores the convergence of career theory and best practices with contemporary recovery research and approaches, while sharing stories of clients in recovery who have successfully found meaningful work. The goal is to enhance participants' knowledge and practitioner toolkit, with a focus on reframing commonly perceived limitations of this population.
