Maine Career Development Association
Help build our leadership team! The MCDA Nominations Committee is asking MCDA members to nominate themselves or their colleagues for the role of President Elect. This is a four-year term: 1 as president-elect, 2 as active president, 1 as past president. This term would run through June 2028. The MCDA President-Elect spends the first year in this role shadowing the current President of the Board. During this period, the President-Elect will learn the specific proceedings of the Governing Board and the leadership needs of the association, while also serving as a member of the Executive Board. Beginning in July 2025, this individual will transition into the President of the Board Role, which is a two-year position that manages the board proceedings, participates in the planning of our two annual events (Annual Conference and Fall Workshop), and guides the direction of the organization, with the support of board members and volunteer committee members. In July of 2027, this role will transition to Past-President, which involves mentoring the new President, in a shadow role, and serving as a member of the Executive Board for one year. For more details about the role of the President of MCDA, please review Article V of our by-laws, found here. Please submit nominations to the MCDA Nomination Committee in writing to Joe Austin at joeaustin1919@gmail.com. Nominees must submit a resume and a confirmation letter that they are willing to serve as President-Elect/President/Past-President of MCDA. On behalf of the MCDA Nominations Committee, thank you for your consideration!
